An Open Mic is a free event welcoming beginner to intermediate musicians and small bands, comedy and other acts to perform in a public space with PA equipment provided.
The performers gain experience and confidence in front of a live and receptive audience.
Portland Golf Club is the venue and Goats Can Eat Anything trio are the hosts.
The Open Mic Portland will be held monthly starting with food and a licensed bar available for patrons.
The chalkboard goes up and Goats Can Eat Anything will play the first three items for the night.
Each act will be asked to perform three items.
Typically there are 10 performance slots but if more people want to have a go, they will try to accommodate.
All kinds of performers, not just musical ones are welcomed.
