Saltire Estate was born in 2006 when land was acquired that was originally part of the much larger George Hunter Estate established by the Sydney restaurateur, Oliver Shaul in the 1970's. Their Semillon, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Merlot vines are all that remain of the 500 acre estate.
The first floor Cellar Door features floor to ceiling windows which look out over the industrial winery, visitors can therefore see where wines are made while they taste them.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy a picnic on the large buffalo lawn outside the winery with vineyard and olive grove views. Their Wine Dog, Maximus is often onsite to greet visitors.
