Made famous by television series Nine Perfect Strangers, Soma is an architecturally unique accommodation surrounded by rainforest in the Byron Bay hinterland. The breathtaking design is by Gary and George Gorrow, one a meditation teacher and the other a designer/hotelier who founded The Slow in Bali.
The idea is for the entire space to be a rejuvenating, wellness experience. You can join for just a workshop or retreat or you can book the entire space and stay there, giving you access to the iconic main hall with its rainforest views, an infinity pool, a giant geodesic dome for yoga and meditation, an infrared sauna, two ‘Forest Treatment’ rooms for massages and other work, a Forest Abode with a sunny deck and Soma’s immaculate gardens.
Pure joy as you wake to the sunrise. Awe as you make it to the snowy peak. A sense of adventure as you motor across red plains. The relief of rejuvenation as you wade into an alpine stream. Connection as you taste native, fragrant leaves. A sense of belonging as you return to your favourite holiday house. Freedom as you dash into the waves. Discover the endless feelings a visit to NSW can inspire.
